Obstruction of live feed during Budget reply

ĠM would like to comment on the situation in parliament yesterday in which a Nationalist MP obstructed a live transmission by the public broadcaster during the Prime Minister’s budget replica. 

IĠM understands that the PM’s speech stepped over the time limit, but feels that it must still call out the act of obstructing a live transmission and interfering in public broadcasting. 

Politics is a heated environment but there should be no room for this sort of behaviour in our country’s highest institution. The Opposition should have contested the matter with the Speaker rather than obstruct a cameraperson from doing their work.
